The surface of our devices is made of natural wood, covered by a thin layer of transparent paint to protect the wood from liquids.
We tested the potentiality of this coating paint putting a bit of Coke, waiting two hours, and then trying to remove the coke from the wood surface. The result was very good, we were able to remove the Coke without any problem. However, we always suggest to use with care our devices. A good way to clean it is to use a damp wipe.
WARNING: Wood is a very permeable material and we cannot guarantee that the coating paint will always protect our device.
If you want, you can obtain a further protection adding other layers of transparent paint: There are a lot of types in the market, you can go to your preferred paint factory and ask them what they suggest.

If the device is working with the USB but not with the batteries, please check again the orientation of the batteries, try to use other batteries and try to understand if there is a visible broken wire.
